Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting in Cranberry Township, PA, seeks a Structural Engineer IV to lead complex engineering efforts in our Facilities Engineering group. The role requires advanced technical expertise, independent decision-making, and mentorship to junior engineers.

Responsibilities include design, review, client meetings as SME, and management of schedule and budget across projects. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in structural engineering, a Civil/Structural ABET degree, and PE/EIT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-recognized university.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• PE license preferred; EIT required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers on projects.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams as needed.
• Layout and detail projects as Engineer of Record or under EOQ supervision.
• Provide CAD drawings or sketches for Designers/Drafters.
• Research design options and document findings for EOQ.
• Review shop drawings and participate in client meetings as SME.
• Develop construction cost estimates and manage schedules/budgets.
• Direct and supervise Designer/Drafter activities as needed.
• Present technical aspects to technical and non-technical audiences.
