Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis for bridges, heavy industrial facilities, and site improvements in California. You will oversee permitting, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires a PE license in California and 10+ years of structural engineering experience, with hands-on leadership across multidisciplinary teams and a focus on project budgeting and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience, including heavy industrial projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, spreadsheets, word processing, and structural analysis tools; knowledge of mining operations; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for bridges, industrial facilities, and site improvements ensuring code compliance.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
• Oversee permitting, contractor coordination, and bid evaluations.
• Conduct site visits for inspections and construction support.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff; manage project schedules and budgets.
