Dennis Group seeks talented structural engineers to support our building practice across the United States, focusing on food facility projects. You will lead design calculations, develop analysis models, and coordinate structural work with other disciplines.

Strong drafting skills in AutoCAD and Revit, thorough review of drawings and specs, field inspections, and mentoring teammates are essential. A PE license and 8+ years of experience are preferred for this California-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license required.
• 8+ years of structural experience in industrial and commercial buildings.
• Proficient drafting with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with structural analysis software.
• Willing to travel about 15 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead hand calculations and create analysis models for designs.
• Coordinate structural work with other disciplines.
• Draft sketches, contract drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD.
• Review project documentation for quality and conformity.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and calculations.
• Estimate construction costs with quantity take-offs.
• Conduct field inspections and prepare reports.
• Research materials and best practices; mentor team as needed.
• Assist with interviewing and hiring new team members.
• Provide coaching to junior staff.
