Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer to own the end-to-end structural scope for hyperscale and purpose-built data center projects, from concept through construction.

You will ensure foundations, building structures, and heavy equipment supports are code-compliant, safe, and cost-effective across markets, collaborating with Design, Civil, MEP, and Operations while managing complex loading and seismic/wind considerations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of structural engineering experience in mission-critical or heavy equipment facilities.
• PE license (or ability to obtain multi-state licensure) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IBC and ASCE 7 across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience with foundations for heavy equipment and seismic/wind design.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and review for building structures, foundations, and equipment supports.
• Ensure code compliance and constructability across projects.
• Review third-party submittals and coordinate with design, MEP, civil.
• Support site selection and due diligence with structural risk assessment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize risk and cost.
