Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Energy & Resources team in California. The ideal candidate will lead structural design tasks, mentor staff, and interface with multidisciplinary teams on dams and hydraulic structures.

You will oversee analysis, design, and documentation, while coordinating with clients and other offices worldwide. California PE or SE license preferred; 10+ years in structural engineering is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering.
• Masters degree in structural engineering preferred.
• CA professional engineer license preferred or able to obtain within 1 year; SE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design tasks and projects for hydraulic structures.
• Mentor junior staff and assist in their development.
• Oversee analysis, design, and construction documentation for concrete, steel, and hydraulic structures.
• Interact with clients to identify goals and provide strategy.
