Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Engineer for our transportation and infrastructure teams. You will lead civil/structural design projects, develop concepts to final designs, and coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a CA seismic design background, ABET-accredited degree, and 10 years of structural experience. PE license within a year is preferred, with hybrid work options and a strong commitment to technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 10 years of structural engineering experience.
• ABET accredited university degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Ability to obtain California Professional Engineer (PE) license within one year.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs using standard analysis and design software.
• Lead project efforts and participate in client and team meetings.
• Mentor junior staff and review/modify designs.
• Prepare reports, specifications, quantities, and estimates.
• Coordinate work with technicians and other disciplines.
• Attend onsite meetings and support project management.
