Job summary

Mott MacDonald in the U.S. is seeking a Senior Engineer (Civil/Structural) based in California. You will lead design and technical delivery on transportation and infrastructure projects, mentoring juniors, and coordinating with clients and other disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds a BEng in civil/structural engineering (ABET), 10 years of experience, familiarity with AASHTO/Caltrans/ASCE/CBC, and a California PE license or ability to obtain within one year. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited civil or structural engineering degree.
10 years of structural engineering experience.
Experience with AASHTO, Caltrans, AREMA, ASCE, and CBC codes.

Responsibilities

Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs using industry-standard software.
Lead and mentor junior staff and coordinate with clients and teams.
Review, prepare, and modify designs and documents.
Analyze and prepare studies, reports, specifications, quantities, and estimates.
Coordinate work across disciplines and with technicians and design professionals.
Attend onsite meetings and participate in project management aspects.
Adopt a digital-by-default approach in deliverables.
Support the company purpose in all activities.
