Job summary

Coffman Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with at least ten years of experience for its DC Metro office.

The candidate will work with business development and discipline leaders to develop technical proposals and mentor a growing team within a collaborative multidisciplinary office. The role involves designing steel, concrete, and masonry structures for commercial, federal, and industrial facilities, coordinating with architects and contractors, and contributing to winning

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program required.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
• minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with software programs such as RISA, AutoCAD, Revit, RamSS, Etabs, Enercalc.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & industrial projects.
• Lead design team efforts and manage project budgets/schedules.
• Develop fee and qualification-based proposals for projects.
• Collaborate with architect, owner, and contractor to produce coordinated drawings.
