Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to perform wind and seismic load analysis, develop calculations, and generate technical memorandums and specifications.

You will lead tasks, check peers, and ensure quality control while coordinating with BIM designers using Revit. The role requires a Master’s degree (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience, FE Civil exam, and proficiency in RAM, SAP2000, ETABS.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or foreign equivalent with at least 2 years of work experience.
• Alternative: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium-size tasks such as platforms and small buildings, taking ownership of scope, schedule and quality.
• Define structural load paths and design common structural elements along those paths.
• Perform code-based calculations and load analysis for wind and seismic conditions.
• Coordinate with BIM designers using Revit and contribute to production drawings.
• Attend project coordination meetings and manage scope changes as needed.
• Forecast level of effort and manage workload to meet commitments.
