Job summary

SpaceXSI seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to design and deliver resilient structures for mission-critical data centers in Memphis. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, civil and construction partners to ensure robust steel and concrete framing for extreme compute densities and uptime requirements.

Responsibilities include leading design from concept to construction admin, performing seismic analyses, and coordinating with MEP and modular components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience on building projects.
• PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for data centers from concept through construction administration.
• Develop structural models, calculations, drawings, and specs with industry tools.
• Coordinate with MEP, cooling, raised floors, and modular components.
• Perform seismic analysis and vibration control for high-density equipment.
• Manage schedules, budgets, shop drawings, RFIs; conduct site visits.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers; ensure high-quality delivery.
• Identify risks and optimize costs while ensuring safety and code compliance.
• Stay current on data center innovations like modular construction.
• Provide regular leadership updates via KPIs and reports.
• Contribute to process improvements and cross-team leadership.
• Review drawings and calculations for structural integrity and code compliance.
