Job summary

TKDA in Seattle seeks a Senior Professional Engineer, Structural to design structural systems for diverse facilities projects across the Pacific Northwest. You will prepare calculations, specs, and construction documents, and develop details in AutoCAD and Revit.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, a Washington SE plan or license within a year, and 5+ years of structural design experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and precast systems. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• PE license required.
• SE license or plan to obtain Washington SE licensure within 1 year.
• 5+ years of structural design experience for facilities projects.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and precast systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Licensed in multiple states is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for meetings/site visits.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for facilities projects across the Pacific Northwest.
• Prepare structural calculations, construction documents, specs, and cost estimates.
• Develop drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to ensure integrated designs.
• Participate in model reviews and clash detection.
• Conduct site visits and verify existing structures.
• Support construction observation and project delivery.
• Build client relationships and manage project coordination.
• Lead or support structural and multi-discipline projects through design to construction.
• Continue developing technical leadership and project management skills.
