Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with hyperscale and colocation data center experience to join our growing Data Center practice. You will lead structural design and analysis for multiple data center buildings, delivering design documentation for concrete, steel, foundations and associated systems.

The role offers remote work flexibility and can be based in locations across the US; occasional travel for client meetings and site visits is expected to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering; 8+ years of experience.
• Licensed US PE or SE.
• Experience in data center, mission-critical, or large-scale facilities.
• Proficient with BIM ACC (Revit), ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, Safe.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform structural design and analysis for data center buildings.
• Develop design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels, precast structures, steel framing, and foundations.
• Coordinate design deliverables with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams.
• Oversee construction documents, specifications, and calculations for quality and code compliance.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and review authorities for queries.
• Support business development, proposals, and concept design for new pursuits.
• Travel as needed for project activities.
