Job summary

Prime Data Centers seeks a Sr. Structural Engineer to own end-to-end structural scope for hyperscale and purpose-built data-center projects.

You will ensure safe, code-compliant foundations and building structures from concept through construction, coordinating with Design, Civil, Architecture, MEP, and Operations teams. The role emphasizes heavy equipment loading, seismic and wind design across varied markets, with no people-management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of structural engineering experience in mission-critical, industrial, or heavy-equipment facility design.
• PE license (or ability to obtain multi-state licensure) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, and structural code compliance across U.S. jurisdictions.
• Experience with foundation design for heavy equipment and seismic/wind design.
• Ability to work independently with clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience with data-center, industrial, or heavy-equipment environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and review for building structures, foundations, and equipment support across hyperscale projects.
• Resolve complex structural challenges related to heavy equipment loading and seismic/wind design across jurisdictions.
• Balance speed, risk, cost, and quality in structural decisions and flag tradeoffs.
• Review third-party submittals and coordinate with Design, MEP, and Civil teams.
• Define and evolve structural design standards for repeatable campus deployment.
