Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to contribute to data center projects within our Advanced Manufacturing team. You will perform structural analysis, develop computer models, and coordinate designs with Jacobs offices worldwide to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering, 8+ years' experience, PE licensure, and travel up to 20%. We offer a hybrid work model and competitive benefits in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes
• Proficiency with MS Office including MS Teams for remote coordination
• Ability for travel to various client’s sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel)

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of structural analysis tasks and design calculations.
• Create computer models for structures and perform member/frame calculations.
• Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
• Support project delivery and lead engineering activities as needed.
