Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our Boston, MA office. You will work with the Property and Buildings Team on multi-site projects, performing design, analysis, and construction support to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and delivering high-quality structural solutions. The position requires 5–7 years of experience, a Bachelor’s in Structural/Civil Engineering, and Engineer in Training certification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in structural/civil engineering and 5–7 years of relevant post-education experience.
  • Engineer in Training certification is required, PE licensure preferred.
  • Master’s degree is a plus for advanced opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Determine well-defined methods for data collection and analysis from sites, surveys, plans and geotechnical data.
  • Perform professional structural engineering work and inspect proposed and existing site conditions for compliance.
  • Develop construction plans and specifications.
  • Incorporate advanced modeling techniques and design requirements for safe, functional end-user solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects and manage resources and costs.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and 2D/3D illustrations for presentations.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Engineer in Training Certification
Master’s Degree in Engineering (Preferred)
