Collins Engineers, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA, seeks a motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. The role blends structural design and inspection on transportation structures and waterfront facilities, with a mix of office and field work and occasional travel.

You will lead technical efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients and project managers to deliver safe, code-compliant, cost-effective solutions for bridges, marinas, ports, and related facilities.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil engineering.
10 years or more progressive experience in project engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Structural Engineer (S.E.) required.
Experience in the inspection and/or design of bridges, roadways, railroads, marinas, and/or ports.

Mansioni

Act independently on technical matters in their area of expertise.
Provide technical engineering expertise to PMs, engineers and clients to ensure compliance with standards and design instructions.
Lead and supervise project teams and support staff; coordinate detailed phases of work.
Ensure safety considerations are integrated into all activities and training as needed.
Support pursuit activities including proposals, estimating costs, and contract negotiations.
