Job summary

PND Engineers, Inc. in Anchorage, Alaska, seeks an experienced Structural Engineer focused on bridges and waterfront structures.

You will lead analysis, design, and review, and oversee construction drawings using AutoCAD, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with geotechnical, surveying, and permitting teams. The role requires 4–5 years in structural analysis/design (bridges/waterfront preferred) and PE licensure or progress toward it within 6 months.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis; M.S. preferred.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 4–5 years of experience in structural analysis and design, ideally with bridges/waterfront structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in analysis, design, and review of bridge and waterfront structures.
• Oversee preparation of detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Perform inspections and prepare technical reports with actionable recommendations.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to project management, client communication, and business development.
