STV Incorporated is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our Transportation practice in Chicago to lead steel and concrete bridge design across highways, rail, and transit projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and work with Illinois agencies from planning through construction.

The role requires an Illinois SE license, 10+ years in structural or bridge engineering, and proficiency with MicroStation and major design software.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
• Active Illinois Structural Engineer (S.E.) license.
• 10+ years of progressive structural or bridge engineering experience, including steel and concrete transportation structures.
• Experience designing bridge superstructures, substructures, foundations, retaining walls, and culverts using AASHTO LRFD and applicable standards.
• Familiarity with IDOT and Illinois Tollway standards, procedures, and deliverables.
• Ability to prepare and review structural calculations, plans, specs, reports, quantities, and estimates.
• Experience leading design tasks, coordinating multidisciplinary work, and mentoring staff.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with willingness to attend site visits.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and deliver structural engineering assignments for highway, transit, and rail projects from planning through construction.
• Develop and oversee designs for steel and concrete bridge elements and related assets.
• Prepare and review calculations, memoranda, estimates, and reports.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with IDOT, Tollway, CTA, Metra, Amtrak, and municipalities.
