Job summary

National Bridge Group seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design of complex long span fixed bridges. This nationwide role offers remote work with opportunities to guide design teams, QA/QC processes, and coordination with state DOTs and toll authorities.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license, 10+ years of bridge design, and a strong background in multi-discipline projects, with MS preferred. You will mentor junior engineers and help win key projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of bridge design experience
• Licensed PE or ability to obtain PE in additional states
• ABET-accredited BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (MS preferred)
• Experience on large multi-discipline bridge projects, including new alignments, replacements, and major rehabilitations

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of complex and long span fixed bridges from concept through final design and construction support

Our client is a well-established engineering consultancy that is adding a Senior Structural Engineer to its National Bridge Group. The group focuses on complex and long span fixed bridges for owners across the country. This is a senior technical role for an experienced bridge engineer who wants to work on signature structures, lead design teams, and help win new work.

The Role

• Lead the design of complex and long span fixed bridges, from concept and type selection through final design and construction support
• Provide technical oversight and QA/QC on bridge designs across the group
• Coordinate design teams and multi-discipline inputs so deliverables meet schedule, budget, and design standards
• Work directly with state DOTs, toll authorities, and other major owners
• Support pursuits by contributing to proposals and client presentations
• Mentor and develop junior engineers

What You Bring

• Registered PE, with the ability to get licensed in additional states as needed
• 10+ years of bridge design experience, with a focus on complex or long span fixed bridges
• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (MS preferred)
• Experience on large multi-discipline bridge projects, including new alignments, replacements, and major rehabilitations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
