PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer in Englewood, CO to design, evaluate, and certify advanced aerospace structures and systems. You will work on metallic and composite components, applying CAE/FEA tools across the full product lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 10+ years of engineering experience, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver certifiable solutions for aircraft, mission systems, and space programs.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of static and/or dynamic analyses.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
• Experience with engineering simulation and Finite Element structural analysis.
• Ability to contribute within multidisciplinary design and development teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, evaluate, analyze, and support the certification of complex structural systems and components.
• Perform advanced static and/or dynamic structural analyses.
• Analyze complex metallic and composite structures.
• Apply engineering principles across the product lifecycle.
• Utilize CAE tools to support structural design and analysis.
• Perform simulations using Finite Element Analysis tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve engineering challenges.
• Support fatigue and damage tolerance analysis as required.
• Perform classical structural analysis using hand calculation methods.
• Apply mechanical design principles related to parametric design, model-based definition, material and hardware selection, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and author technical substantiation reports supporting conclusions and certification.
