Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

H&H is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Yarmouth, ME team. We are currently expanding our design services and client base to support projects in the Structural/Transportation focus areas. The successful candidate will lead the design of simple and complex fixed bridges, movable bridges, and perform bridge inspections within our growing office. Responsibilities

• Serve as Structural Engineer or Project Engineer on major projects
• Prepare detailed plans and construction documents
• Perform engineering calculations supporting plans and documents
• Develop contract specifications, bid documents, and technical reports
• Conduct occasional field site visits
• Coordinate discipline and payment items within construction documents
• Mentor and train junior staff

Minimum Requirements

• BSc in Civil Engineering
• PE License, preferably in ME or NH
• At least eight years of Structural Engineering experience, focused on bridge design
• Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final bridge design following Federal and State codes
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage small projects
• Experience with FEM modeling software (preferred)
• Familiarity with local clients such as MaineDOT and NHDOT (preferred)
• Detail-oriented, self-starter, proficient in verbal and written communication
