Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead major design projects in East London, Eastern Cape. You will oversee structural integrity, mentor engineers, and drive projects from concept to construction in a dynamic coastal city.

The role requires a PE registration (ECSA), extensive experience, and expertise in FEM software to deliver safe, code-compliant designs for diverse structures.

Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in structural engineering design.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is required.
• Experience with finite element analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, Prokon).
• Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and masonry materials.
• Excellent leadership and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of diverse projects including commercial buildings, industrial structures, and bridges.
• Perform advanced structural analysis and calculations using state-of-the-art software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports.

Key Responsibilities
