Senior Structural Engineer (Project Management)

GPI seeks a Senior Engineer to join our Structural (buildings) department in our Scranton, PA office. You will design structural systems for cultural buildings, office buildings, healthcare and research facilities, schools, and various other projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist staff as a technical lead to supervise and mentor junior team members in producing structural construction documents, such as drawings, specifications, and construction administration, including calculations and QC.
2. Familiarity with the engineering fundamentals of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
3. Prepare project plans and specifications.
4. Perform site visits for documentation and cost estimating of existing systems and building conditions.
5. Attend client meetings as required and visit construction sites to inspect work in progress or completed.
6. Assist with managing workload allocation and the preparation of proposals.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of structural (buildings) experience working in the consulting industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering is required.
• Ability to meet deadlines and lead design efforts.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• AutoCAD & Revit experience is required.
• Experience with RAM SS, RAM Elements, and Tekla TEDDS is a plus.
