Job summary

Fehr Graham, a fast-growing Midwest engineering and environmental firm, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our in-office East Peoria team. You will lead structural design for diverse projects and help drive the growth of our structural engineering group while collaborating with environmental scientists and other disciplines.

You should have a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, 7–11 years of experience designing steel and concrete structures, and be licensed in Iowa,

What You’Ll Do

As a Structural Engineer, we promote a team environment, so you’ll work with fellow engineers, environmental scientists and many others. You’ll also: Provide structural engineering and design services for a variety of projects. Actively develop and grow the structural engineering team. Provide technical leadership on multidisciplinary projects and support client relationships. Develop project scopes, budgets and structural designs while delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

What it takes Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. You should have seven to 11 years of experience designing steel and concrete structures. You should be a licensed structural engineer in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin or demonstrate the ability to secure these licensures. Ideally, you’ll also: Know construction methods and materials and code requirements. Know how to develop design and construction plans. Use structural engineering software. Speak and write well. Have strong analytical and organizational skills. Be a team player.
