Job summary

Fehr Graham is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our East Peoria team. You’ll design steel and concrete structures, lead design efforts, and collaborate with engineers and environmental scientists to deliver projects on time.

This full-time, in-office role offers a competitive salary of $100,000 to $130,000 per year, plus benefits such as insurance, 401(k) and PTO. Ideal candidates have 7–11 years’ experience and licensure in IA, IL, or WI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7–11 years of experience designing steel and concrete structures.
• Licensed Structural Engineer in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin or ability to obtain licensure.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and code requirements.
• Ability to develop design and construction plans.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

What you’ll do

What it takes

Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. You should have seven to 11 years of experience designing steel and concrete structures. You should be a licensed structural engineer in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin or demonstrate the ability to secure these licensures. Ideally, you’ll also:

• Know construction methods and materials and code requirements.
• Know how to develop design and construction plans.
• Use structural engineering software.
• Speak and write well.
• Have strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Be a team player.
