DOF Subsea Norway seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to design and analyse structural systems for SURF, Construction, Decommissioning and Mooring projects. You will model and evaluate using FE software, producing robust technical deliverables and contributing to safer, smarter offshore execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Experience with FE-analysis software (Ansys or similar).
• Experience with design software (Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault).
• Experience with seafastening of flex-lay spread onboard OCV.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and quality.

Overview

Senior Structural Engineer — We are looking for several experienced Senior Structural Engineers to strengthen and further develop our team supporting our SURF, Construction, Decommissioning and Mooring services.

You will be responsible for designing and analysing structural systems for various projects, conducting structural modelling, calculations and analyses using engineering software. Your creativity and expertise will be essential in developing integrated design solutions. By ensuring timely completion and maintaining exceptional quality in all assigned tasks, your contribution will play a crucial role in the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
• Experience with FE-analysis software (Ansys or similar)
• Experience with design software (Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault)
• Experience with seafastening of flex-lay spread onboard OCV
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Attention to detail and quality

Experience

• Senior Structural Engineer (5+ years of relevant experience) with a strong background in structural analysis and design
• 5+ years of experience with detailed engineering related to vessel and marine operations
• Working knowledge of relevant industry standards (DNV / Eurocode / ABS)
• Able to work independently and take ownership in projects
• Knowledge of seafastening design, lifting equipment, steel fabrication and ship structures; 2D/3D skills and programming skills (e.g., Python) are advantageous
