Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

LaBella is currently hiring for a Senior Structural Engineer in our Charlotte, NC office.

Duties

• Lead or work independently as a Senior Structural Engineer, overseeing a team of structural engineers, designers, and draftspersons in producing structural construction documents, including drawings and specifications for projects ranging from small renovations to large, complex new constructions.
• Provide construction phase services such as reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits to ensure work conforms to project requirements.
• Perform assessments, forensic analyses, or feasibility studies for existing structures needing improvement, purchase, or repair.
• Collaborate with clients to develop cost-effective structural designs, offering concept options and evaluating their pros and cons for informed decision-making.
• Coordinate closely with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
• Develop efficient structural systems, perform calculations, and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Manage project budgets, including hours and resources.
• Mentor junior staff, review calculations and documents.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Minimum Requirements

• 8 to 15 years of experience in a consulting engineering firm.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license in Tennessee.
• Revit experience is a plus.
• Experience with computer analysis software is essential.
