The Architecture & Facilities Engineering (A&FE) team is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to support Disneyland Resort. You will provide technical expertise, problem solving, and QA/QC for capital projects and sustaining efforts across various facilities including shops, attractions, hotels, entertainment venues, maintenance facilities, offices, and other built environments. Projects range from preliminary research and facility assessments to renovations and new constructions. You will also support immediate response efforts and collaborate with architects, other engineering disciplines, and Disney project teams.

You will report to the Sr. Manager – Civil/Structural Engineering.

What You Will Do
Structural Engineer Sustaining Support (Primary Role)
  • Develop scope for all Integrated Facility Planning (IFP) projects, including site walks, scope justification, code research, and producing plans and sketches.
  • Maintain and update Disney Standards and details.
  • Review proposed space planning and tenant improvement efforts for compliance.
  • Perform regulated structural inspections at attractions, assessing elements like steel, wood, and concrete, and provide disposition for repairs.
  • Assist in earthquake response planning, drills, and post-earthquake inspections.
  • Respond to structural assessment requests resort-wide, including vehicular collisions and reported issues.
  • Contribute to the development of corporate standards for structural engineering, rigging, rockwork, etc.
Structural Engineer (Secondary Role)
  • Design and develop project concepts from feasibility to construction documentation, ensuring standards compliance.
  • Lead the creation of construction drawings and specifications as the Engineer of Record.
  • Handle city plan check inquiries, RFIs, and project closeout documentation.
  • Provide technical and aesthetic structural resources for project scope development.
What We Look For
  • Experience in diverse project types and construction, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
  • Construction administration experience, including site observation and review of RFIs/submittals.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes such as California Building Code, ASCE standards, ACI 318, NDS, AISC, TMS.
  • Ability to develop custom details for unique facilities.
  • Leadership, team-building, and mentorship skills.
  • Strong communication skills for technical and executive interactions.
  • Adaptability to diverse situations and personalities.
Required Education and Qualifications
  • BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 7+ years of professional Structural Engineering experience.
  • Civil PE License in California.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SE License in California.
  • MS in Structural Engineering.

The salary range in Anaheim, CA is $111,900 - $138,800 annually, with potential bonuses and incentives based on experience and location.
