Job summary

Fort Point LLC, an EPC firm in Alabama, seeks a Senior/Lead Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis of concrete and steel structures for large industrial capital projects, from FEED through construction support.

The candidate will oversee complex analyses, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and drive accurate modeling using STAAD.Pro, RISA-3D, SAP2000, AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Advanced hands-on experience with structural analysis tools (STAAD.Pro) and design/drafting platforms (AutoCAD, Revit).

Responsibilities

• Perform complex structural analysis and design for industrial steel frameworks and foundations.

SENIOR AND LEAD STRUCTURAL ENGINEER Opportunities available!

We are seeking a highly skilled and detailed-oriented Structural Design Engineers to join an EPC firm that's thriving! In this role, you will be responsible for the structural analysis, design, specification development, and engineering of concrete and steel structures for large-scale industrial capital projects (e.g., manufacturing plants, refineries, pulp and paper mills, and heavy industrial facilities). The Lead Engineer will oversee projects from initial conceptual design and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through detailed engineering and construction support.

• Perform complex structural analysis and design for industrial steel frameworks, equipment foundations, reinforced concrete structures, dynamic machinery foundations, piping supports and connection detailing


• Utilize advanced 3D structural engineering and finite element analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, RISA-3D, SAP2000) to build precise simulations evaluating stress, wind, seismic, and dynamic thermal loads.


• Coordinate structural modeling efforts with multidisciplinary project teams—including Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation
