Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer with 5+ years of industrial experience to design and support foundations, equipment supports, and building structures in Houston, TX. You will collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams to deliver robust structural solutions.

The role requires proficiency in STAAD.Pro, RISA, RAM, SAP2000 or similar, with strong knowledge of steel and concrete design and the ability to review drawings and calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 5+ years of industrial structural engineering experience.
• Experience with industrial, manufacturing, power, petrochemical, data center, or water/wastewater projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze foundations, equipment supports, pipe racks, platforms, and building structures.
• Perform steel and reinforced concrete design using STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000, or similar software.
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations, specifications, and material take-offs.
• Ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, AWS, OSHA, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with mechanical, process, electrical, instrumentation, and controls teams.
• Review vendor drawings and submittals.
• Participate in design reviews, hazard analyses, and client meetings.
• Support project schedules, budgets, and progress reporting.
• Travel to project sites as needed (<5%).
