Job summary

EDG is seeking a Sr. Structural Designer in Metairie, LA to create 3D models and drawings for offshore and onshore structures. You will lead a team of drafters, ensure schedules, and maintain adherence to industry and company standards.

The role requires 15+ years of structural drafting experience in oil & gas, proficiency with CAD/3D tools, and ability to coordinate with design teams and clients. Travel may be required and overtime is possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of structural drafting and design experience in offshore oil & gas projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Navisworks, PDMS and E3D.
• Must have working knowledge of AISC, AWS, API RP 2A, and OSHA standards.
• May lead a group of drafters, drafting checker or coordinator on projects.
• Overtime and travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models and drawings for assigned projects from sketches or SACs model output files and/or verbal instructions.
• Manage project workflow to ensure completion and adherence to schedules.
• Mentor and supervise drafters on the project.
• Draft technical details and specify dimensions, materials.
• Create material lists and weight reports from 3D model or sketches.
• Review drawings for correctness and adherence to standards.
