Job summary

Middough Inc. in Greenville, SC seeks a Structural Engineer to perform data collection, detailed engineering calculations and basic design for review by senior staff. You will lead select projects, estimate hours, define scope and coordinate with field teams and clients.

Requirements include a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, 5–7 years of structural design in heavy industry, AutoCAD proficiency with the ability to learn REVIT/BIM; EIT or PE preferred and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 5-7 years of structural design experience in heavy industry.
• License as Structural Engineer preferred or EIT certification.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; able to learn REVIT and BIM integration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and perform detailed engineering calculations.
• Serve as Project Lead for select single-discipline projects.
• Assist in field work, inspect installations and solve problems.
• Coordinate with other departments and external suppliers.
• Manage project scope, changes, and delivery within budget/time.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

5-7 years of structural design experience in refinery, chemical or heavy industrial facilities

Structural Engineer license preferred

EIT Certification in process or obtained
