Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an experienced designer for heavy industrial and power plant projects in Birmingham, AL. You will develop 3D models and construction drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and ductwork, and support layouts, cost estimates, and field verification.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in industrial design, strong AutoCAD skills, 3D modeling, and familiarity with Bentley or Advanced Steel software.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD; 3D modeling strongly preferred
• Experience with Bentley or Advanced steel structural software preferred
• Steel/concrete detailing background a plus

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and drawings for structural steel, concrete, and ductwork
• Prepare layouts and conceptual designs
• Review vendor shop drawings
• Perform site walk-downs for field verification and constructability
