Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Structural Designer with 10 to 20 years of experience to develop 2D drawings and 3D models of complex structures. You will work in a project team to deliver drafting tasks on schedule and within budget, using CAE/CAD tools and coordinating with engineering and management.

Locations include Tullahoma, TN; Greenville, SC; or Farmington Hills, MI. This role requires US citizenship for government projects and offers a salary range of $65,000–$105,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required for government projects.
• 10–20 years of experience developing 2D drawings and 3D models of structures.
• Must have working knowledge of CAE/CAD systems.
• Proficient in 2D/3D drafting using CAD tools (Autocad/Advance Steel/Inventor/Revit/Creo).

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance to designers and drafters; develops work plans and reviews progress.
• Performs creative design from concepts, analyses, and sketches.
• Handles complex drafting assignments and ensures conformance to specs.
• Mentors junior staff and enforces drafting standards and accuracy.
• Operates CAD equipment and trains staff in CAD usage.
