Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Structural Designer to lead drafting on complex projects in a dynamic, multi-discipline team. The role focuses on creating 2D drawings and 3D models for wind tunnels, rocket/test stands, and other advanced facilities in a government-oriented environment.

Position can be filled in Greenville, SC, with options in Tullahoma, TN or Farmington Hills, MI. Must have strong CAD skills and the ability to manage project drafting tasks within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Experience developing 2D drawings and 3D models of structures.
• Ability to lead a drafting team on major projects.
• Working knowledge of CAE/CAD systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides drafting team leadership on major projects of considerable scope/complexity.
• Performs complex drafting assignments from general concepts and sketches.
• Ensures drawings meet specifications and quality standards.
• Prepares sketches for others and maintains drafting standards.
• May operate CAD equipment and train others in CAD use.
