Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for its Dallas, TX area manufacturing client to design and develop steel joist and decking systems. You will apply engineering standards, review designs for safety and code compliance, and mentor junior staff to drive product quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil/structural/architectural engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Strong experience in structural engineering and/or steel design.
Familiarity with codes and standards (AISC, SJI, SDI, ASCE).

Responsibilities

Design and develop steel joist and steel decking systems.
Provide technical guidance on complex engineering and design challenges.
Review designs for quality, safety, code compliance, and performance.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other teams to deliver customer solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, productivity, and product quality.
Support and mentor other design professionals as needed.
Apply engineering standards, codes, and best practices to design projects.
