Job summary

gpac seeks a Senior Design Engineer in Grapeland, Texas to lead the design and development of steel joist and decking solutions. This hands-on role focuses on safe, efficient, and innovative designs and solving complex engineering challenges.

The candidate will review designs for quality and code compliance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior staff. A PE license and a Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering degree are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering.
Strong experience in structural engineering and/or steel design.
PE license required.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Design and develop steel joist and decking systems.
Provide technical guidance on complex design challenges.
Review designs for quality, safety, code compliance, and performance.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other teams to deliver customer solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, productivity, and product quality.
Support and mentor other design professionals as needed.
Apply engineering standards, codes, and best practices to design projects.
