Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineering Designer to support its Architecture and Engineering unit. You will design structural projects across the U.S. including steel, concrete, and masonry, coordinating with site/civil, MEP engineers, architects, and PMs to produce construction documents.

You will work under guidance of senior staff, perform design tasks, site feasibility studies, and assist with budgets and change orders on diverse commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural/civil engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with structural design for buildings, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, restaurants, grocery, financial, and/or convenience stores.
• EIT preferred
• Revit, MS Office required, AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with design tasks and create structural calculation reports under the direction of senior staff.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations as well as generate reports/recommendations based on findings.
• Assist in maintaining task budgets.
• Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFI's and change orders.
• Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
• Assist senior staff with the project approval process.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.
