Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Designer to support our Architecture and Engineering business unit. You will design and draft mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and fire protection under engineers and project managers.

This remote/hybrid role coordinates with site, civil, electrical, and structural teams to produce construction documents compliant with codes and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years of general building mechanical design production experience.
• EIT is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Revit, MS Office; AutoCAD is a plus.
• Ability to identify practical uses for AI tools in design and review AI-generated content.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design tasks and reports under supervision of Project Engineers and Project Managers.
• Conduct site feasibility research and investigations and generate reports/recommendations.
• Maintain task budgets.
• Coordinate addenda, RFIs and change orders.
• Coordinate the work of a multi-disciplinary team through design development to contract documents.
• Support the project approval process with senior staff.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the role.
