Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineering Designer to support our Architecture and Engineering unit. You will design structural projects across steel, concrete, timber and masonry while coordinating with Site/Civil, MEP engineers, architects and project managers.

You will produce construction documents adhering to client requirements and codes, working on projects nationwide. The role offers remote or hybrid work options, with potential travel within the domestic U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural/civil engineering.
• 3+ years of structural design experience for buildings (commercial projects).
• EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design tasks and create structural calculation reports.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visits and generate recommendations.
• Assist in maintaining task budgets.

Salary Range: $36.00 To $48.00 Hourly

This role is paid on an hourly basis with a range of $36-$48 and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The expected approximate annualized compensation range is $75,000–$100,000.

Summary of the Role

As a Senior StructuralEngineering Designer,supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for designing structural engineering projects under the guidance of Structural Engineers/Project Managers. Projects will be located throughout the U.S. and will include: steel, concrete, pre-stressed concrete, timber and masonry. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, MEP Engineers, Architects, and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of structural engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design tasks and create structural calculation reports under the direction of senior staff.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations as well as generate reports/recommendations based on findings.
• Assist in maintaining task budgets.
• Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFI's and change orders.
• Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
• Assist senior staff with the project approval process.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.

• Bachelor’s degree in structural/civil engineering
• 3+ years of experience with structural design for buildings, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, restaurants, grocery, financial, and/or convenience stores.
• EIT preferred
• Revit, MS Office required, AutoCAD is a plus

Work Location

This is a fully remote or hybrid (1 or 2 days a week in the office) position based out of the following Core States Group offices: Any Core States Group office (preference for Frisco, TX or Bentonville, AR, Somerville, NJ if Hybrid) or fully remote in the domestic U.S.
