Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Structural BIM Designer to join our Architecture and Engineering team. You will design, detail, and draft construction documents under the guidance of Structural Engineers and Project Managers.

Projects span the U.S. and include steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. You will coordinate with Site/Civil MEP Engineers and Architects, producing accurate 2D plans and robust 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD. This role can be remote or hybrid with some office days.

Qualifications

• Technical School, Assoc. in Civil/Architectural Engineering, BSCE/AE or equivalent experience
• Revit Certification a plus (Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Structural Design)
• Minimum 3+ years of Revit drafting experience with proficiency in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, including preparing structural sheets (notes, details, schedules) and producing accurate 2D plan sections and details.
• Revit (must have)

Responsibilities

• Use and develop skills in AutoCAD and Revit Structure to develop construction documents.
• Report under the direction of the Structural Project Engineer and Structural Project Manager.
• Work in a collaborative environment and assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and construction document phases of a project.
• Perform quality control of their own work prior to giving it to the Structural Project Engineer for final review.
• Assist in maintaining task budgets.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.
