Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a senior-level Mechanical/Structural Engineer to lead design, development, and validation of structural components for Powersports vehicles.

You will drive from concept through production, ensuring safety, quality, and cost targets are met while coordinating with architects, suppliers, and operations teams. The role requires 5+ years in design or systems engineering, CAD proficiency (Cre o), FEA, and Windchill PLM familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.
• Minimum 5 years in design or systems engineering.
• Experience with stamping, metal joining, and structural component design.
• Automotive BIW experience preferred.
• Strong CAD skills and testability considerations.
• Willingness to travel ~15–25% depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of structural components from concept to production.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, cost, and timing objectives.
• Create and maintain specifications, DFMEAs, and DVP&Rs.
• Own structural development plans across design, sourcing, validation, and production.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Lead design reviews and investigate field or production issues.
