Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a design engineer to lead the development of Powersports vehicle systems, from concept through production.

You will establish requirements, coordinate with program architects, management, and suppliers, and ensure performance, quality, cost, and timing objectives are met. The role involves owning subsystem development, supporting validation and manufacturing strategies, and driving design reviews to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years design engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate vehicles for development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of vehicle systems from concept through production.
• Create and manage subsystem requirements, specifications, DFMEAs, and DVP&Rs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet performance, quality, cost, and timing goals.
• Develop and release design documentation and engineering drawings.
• Lead design reviews and address field issues with corrective actions.
