Job summary

Kinetics Noise Control in Dublin, OH is seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to lead design, analysis, and development of structural systems for noise control and building products. You will size beams, evaluate loads, and design steel framing, isolations, and supports using RAM Elements and SolidWorks Simulation.

The role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with building codes, and the ability to deliver buildable engineering solutions across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; ability and desire to obtain licensure is valued.
• Minimum of five years of structural engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with custom-engineered products, industrial or commercial structural applications, and building code-based design requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems including barrier walls, support frames, equipment support structures, isolation assemblies, anchored systems, and custom-engineered components.
• Perform beam sizing, member design, connection design, fastener calculations, and anchorage calculations for structural applications.
• Evaluate structures for dead, live, wind, seismic, and project-specific loading conditions per governing codes.
• Develop cold-formed and light-gauge steel designs for framing, bracing, supports, and related assemblies.
• Conduct structural analysis using software, hand calculations, spreadsheets, and other tools; perform finite element analyses as needed.
• Support vibration analysis, isolation system design, and evaluation of dynamic loading conditions.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design Summaries, and sealed documents when licensed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Design, and Field Service to meet customer requirements.
