Brigham Young University (BYU) is seeking a Structural/Civil Engineer to act as an owner‑side technical resource on campus projects. You will review designs, prepare calculations, and ensure code compliance while coordinating with consultants, architects, and facilities staff.

You will design and supervise structural and civil systems for new construction and renovations, manage budgets, and help maintain BYU standards. A PE license and ABET degree are required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from ABET‑accredited program.
• Experience with structural calculations and construction documents, coordinating with disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of codes (ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, TMS, NDS).
• Demonstrated ability to review complex plans and communicate owner‑side comments.

Responsabilidades

• Review consultant‑prepared drawings, specs, calculations and advise on code compliance.
• Analyze and design structural systems for new construction and renovations.
• Plan campus site and utility improvements and prepare bid documents.
• Manage work orders, scope, schedule and budgets; coordinate with stakeholders.
