Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Business Class Lead in Dallas, TX. This role anchors the growth, operations and technical leadership of the structural team within HDR's Building Engineering Services Group.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality structural design solutions for complex facilities. As a key HDR leader, you will foster client relationships, oversee scope development and ensure adherence to evolving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of experience with a strong track record in leading structural teams.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and client relations.
• Active professional registration and a commitment to HDR values.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth, operations and technical direction of the structural team.
• Build external and internal client relationships with HDR leaders and marketing teams.
• Prepare/review budgets and scopes; monitor budget status for the structural section.
• Coordinate work, set priorities and assign staff within the section.
• Mentor staff, conduct performance reviews and develop talent.
• Coordinate with other discipline groups across locations.
• Assist in hiring and onboarding new staff; support project planning and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and HDR design practices.
