HDR is seeking a senior leader to head the Structural Business Class in Missouri/Kansas, driving technical excellence, staff development, and cross-market collaboration. You will lead staffing, quality control, and project delivery across diverse sectors, while promoting HDR’s engineering practice regionally.

Role emphasizes active employee ownership culture, collaboration with markets and leadership, and delivering high-impact projects in energy, data centers, and commercial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a professional, architecture, engineering or closely related field.
• 10 years of experience.
• Professional registration in engineering.
• Commitment to HDR values and quality.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Collaborative leadership with area leaders and marketing managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Structural Business Class in Missouri/Kansas focusing on technical excellence, quality, recruiting and staff development.
• Identify and collaborate with market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence in key markets (aerospace, aviation, commercial, civic, healthcare, higher-education, industrial).
• Deliver project services to meet client expectations and engage with clients and community stakeholders.
• Lead staffing, project profitability, morale, and quality control within the Structural Business Group.
• Promote HDR and the Structural Engineering practice in the engineering/architecture community.
