Job summary

CDR Maguire Engineering seeks a Senior Structural/Bridge Design Engineer to join our Transportation Engineering Division in Mechanicsburg, PA. You will perform complex design work with limited supervision, including calculations, quantities, sketches, and reports. Ideal candidates have a B.S.

in Engineering, 5+ years (8+ preferred), PA PE license, and experience on PennDOT projects. Proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MathCAD, STAAD II, and Bluebeam is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 5+ years of related experience; 8+ preferred.
• Experience working on PennDOT projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations, quantities, sketches, and layout drawings.
• Perform bridge-related geometry, including COGO geometry.
• Provide excellent client service and communicate with stakeholders.
• Perform design tasks with minimal supervision and complete reports.
• Attend project site visits, status meetings, and public meetings.
• May perform bridge inspections as abilities permit.
