Job summary

Antares seeks a Senior Structural Analyst to own analysis and dynamics for space nuclear systems, including reactor, spacecraft, radiator, and payload structures. You will conduct stress analysis, modal studies, vibration and acoustic assessments, and coupled thermal-structural work across development and flight hardware.

You will coordinate with mechanical design, thermal, reactor, and systems teams to ensure robust structural architectures, define load paths, and verify designs through testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in mechanical, aerospace, civil/structural engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of structural analysis, dynamics, or aerospace structures experience.
• Strong fundamentals in solid mechanics, vibration, fatigue, and load paths.
• Experience building and running FEA models for aerospace hardware.
• Familiarity with launch environments and NASA/DoD practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own stress analysis and structural dynamics for space nuclear hardware, from components to integrated vehicle structures.
• Support mechanical design with structural brackets, panels, supports, and test fixtures.
• Perform hand calculations and develop detailed FEMs for various loads and conditions.
• Build and maintain FEMs at multiple scales; run static, modal, vibration, acoustic, and thermal analyses.
• Lead launch loads derivation, test loads definition, and verification strategies.
• Drive test planning, instrumentation, data review, and model correlation across development programs.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments, communicating margins and verification status.
