Ursa Major in Colorado is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst to perform high‑fidelity FEA ensuring the performance and reliability of our SRM propulsion systems. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams across development, qualification, and production programs.

You will mentor analysis engineers, advance multi‑physics analysis practices, and contribute to continuous improvement while delivering data‑driven recommendations for components and materials under extreme

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in structural analysis of aerospace components.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) using commercial codes.
• Experience in thermal-structural static analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test data.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Perform high-fidelity FEA for structural integrity, thermal performance, and dynamics of SRM components.
• Conduct coupled thermal-stress analyses to assess material response under extreme conditions.
• Support design iterations with data-driven recommendations on geometry, materials, and thermal protection systems.
• Develop and validate analytical models using ANSYS, Abaqus, or NASTRAN.
• Evaluate test data and correlate analytical models with physical testing results.
• Collaborate to develop processes, models, and tools meeting standards and requirements.
• Assess nonconforming hardware and provide dispositions and repairs.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Mentor analysis engineers and advance best practices in structural analysis.
